Indexing plunger with remote control, Style L, D=6, L=5000, Stainless steel
Estimated delivery: On request
Indexing plungers are used when it is necessary to prevent a change in the locking position due to lateral forces.
Examples of this are length and height locking, as well as position locking in the construction of machines, furniture and special vehicles.
Indexing plungers with remote actuation are used when inaccessible installation spaces make operation difficult or when remote control is required for ergonomic and safety reasons.
The coupling between the indexing plunger and the operator side is made by means of a Bowden cable. The combination of indexing plunger and operating element forms a complete system that can be used in many applications. If the disengagement is permanent and the guided locking pin must be prevented from returning, the actuating element with latching function must be used.
Material:
Threaded bush 1.4305.
Locking guide pin 1.4034.
Steel wire rope 1.4401.
Steel cable casing with plastic coating inside and outside.
Terminal sleeves and adjusting screw in brass.
Version:
Threaded bush, untreated surface.
Hardened and ground guide pin for locking, untreated surface.
Zinc-plated terminal sleeves and adjusting screw.
Bowden cable sheath in black.
Ordering note:
The online shop configurator is recommended to simplify the configuration of the complete system.
Note:
Different length variants of the Bowden cable are available to choose from.
To ensure a precise fit in the respective application, the Bowden cable can be shortened during mounting.
The sheath of the steel cable or Bowden cable can be easily replaced if necessary.
The following points must be observed when installing Bowden cables:
The length of the free end of the cable may vary due to the installation angle, bending radius and load. The length of the counter-bearing (cable sheath) must therefore be adjusted after the Bowden cable has been installed, using the adjusting screw included. The preload of the Bowden cable system is adjusted simultaneously with the adjusting screw.
During assembly, particular care must be taken to ensure that the minimum bending radius, in this case R = 65 mm, is not undercut. A radius that is too narrow can lead to increased wear and friction.
A short-term deviation from the minimum bending radius must also be avoided during installation, otherwise the cable sheath will be damaged. In addition, the cable cover has been designed only to absorb compressive forces. If it is displaced too far, the inner spiral is stretched and permanently damaged.
