Indexing plunger with remote control, TA.3, Form K with lock nut, D=8, D1=M16X1, 5, L=3000, Stainless steel
Estimated delivery: On request
Indexing plungers are used when it is necessary to prevent a change in the locking position due to lateral forces.
It is only possible to move to another locking position after the pin has been disengaged manually.
Indexing plungers with remote actuation are used when inaccessible installation spaces make operation difficult or when remote control is required for ergonomic and safety reasons.
The coupling between the indexing plunger and the operator side is made by means of a Bowden cable. The combination of indexing plunger and operating element forms a complete system that can be used in many applications. If the disengagement has to be permanent and the guided locking pin must be prevented from returning, the actuating element of form D with latching function must be used.
Material:
Indexing plunger:
Threaded bush 1.4305.
Guide pin for locking 1.4034.
Actuating element 1.4305.
Thermoplastic mushroom head.
Steel wire rope 1.4401.
Steel cable casing with plastic coating inside and outside.
End bushes, set screws and screw nipples made of brass.
Version:
Threaded bush, untreated surface.
Hardened and polished guide pin for locking, untreated surface.
Black Bowden cable cover.
Dark grey thermoplastic mushroom head RAL7021.
Ordering note:
Indexing plungers with remote control and the actuating element must be ordered separately.
Note:
As an alternative to the actuating element, the included threaded nipple (Ø 5 x 7 mm) can be used to integrate an individual actuating element into the system.
Different length variants of the Bowden cable are available.
The Bowden cable can be shortened appropriately during installation to ensure a precise fit in the respective application.
Corrosion protection is achieved through the selection of suitable materials and coatings. The steel cable or the sheath of the Bowden cable can be easily replaced if necessary.
The following points must be observed when installing Bowden cables:
The length of the free end of the cable may vary due to the installation angle, bending radius and load. The length of the counter-bearing (cable sheath) must therefore be adjusted after the Bowden cable has been installed, using the adjusting screw included. At the same time, the preload of the Bowden cable system is set using the adjusting screw.
During installation, special care must be taken to ensure that the minimum bending radius, in this case R = 65 mm, is not exceeded. A radius that is too small can lead to increased wear and friction.
A short-term deviation from the minimum bending radius must also be avoided during installation, otherwise the cable sheath will be damaged. The cover is also designed only to absorb compressive forces. If it is pulled with too much force, the inner spiral is stretched and permanently damaged.
