Latches are used to prevent changes in the engagement position, caused by transverse forces. When the latch is turned by 180°, the locking guide pin retracts, thus allowing the engagement position to be changed. The detent notch causes the latch to be held in this position, so that the locking guide pin remains retracted.

Application:
Due to its closed design, the latch with internal guide mechanism can be installed in heavily contaminated locations, for example with dust and sparks.
Advantages:
- When the latch 180° is turned, the guide pin retracts.
- Its closed design prevents dirt from entering the threaded bush.
- Using the hexagon positioned in the bush, the latch can be mounted easily.
