Self-tapping threaded inserts for making screw connections with high load-bearing capacity, wear-resistant and protected against vibration, in materials with low shear strength, such as, e.g. aluminium and aluminium alloys, brass, bronze, cast iron, thermosets and thermoplastics.
Threaded inserts are tapered at the lower end and have a cutting slot. When screwed into the receiving bore, they cut their own receiving thread. This ensures an absolutely secure and firm seating in the receiving material.
Internal thread D1 according to ISO 6H.
In some materials, threaded inserts with a cutting slot yield slightly inwards in the area of the cutting slot, creating a certain locking of the screw. If required, to avoid this phenomenon we recommend using the version with cutting bore.
