Test blocks SolidStamp steel, For embossing jaws

The wear of the engraving jaws can be checked with the test blocks.

Note:
Step 1: position the positioning carriage and the engraving carriage at a distance of approximately 15 mm
Step 2: place the test blocks (1) marked "l/r" (with the additional grooves) on the left and right sides of the engraving jaws so that they are flush with the male square.
Step 3: adjust the engraving jaw using the knurled screw (fine adjustment) until the test blocks can be clamped by hand.
Step 4: place the test block (2) marked "m" between the teeth.
- If the test block does not fit between the teeth of the engraving jaws, everything is in order.
- If the test block fits between the teeth of the engraving jaws, the jaws must be reworked or replaced.

The engraving jaws can be reworked down to a thickness of 11,5 mm (measured at the highest tooth). This corresponds to 6 reworks.
If any tooth is broken, the number of possible reworks is reduced.
