The stainless steel tongue latch for hygiene applications prevents the proliferation of germs, meeting the strict requirements of the test principles for food processing machinery and for hygiene.
The sophisticated geometric shape, the extremely polished stainless steel surfaces and the concentric circumferential seal reliably prevent dirt from accumulating. In this case, water, cleaning agents, etc. can be drained completely, avoiding contamination.
Particularly in processes where the resistance of the seal to cleaning agents and disinfectants is very important, distribution cabinets, terminal boxes and operating boxes optimised for use in production systems are mandatory. Built in accordance with the principles of Hygienic DESIGN, the HD tongue latch meets the strict requirements of the food processing industry and is ideally suited to professional hygiene applications.
The special seal is designed for high-pressure jet cleaning of no more than 100 bar and meets protection class IP65/67. In addition, the seal is thermally stable up to 80 °C and, owing to its blue colour, complies with FDA specifications (reliably preventing it from being mistaken for foodstuffs).
Please order the cam separately in the desired version. All tongues can be combined with any housing.
